Compact, high-output OEM pressure transducers

Gems Sensors & Controls (Gems) an ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485 certified supplier of standard and custom liquid level, flow and pressure switches, miniature solenoid valves, and pre-assembled fluidic systems, has announced the availability of its industry best-selling 3100 Series pressure transducers as a standard catalog product.

The Gems 3100 Series offers OEMs a consistently high-performance, high-output, reliable, repeatable pressure measurement within a compact package. The series design incorporates a sputtered thin film pressure sensing element with exceptional temperature specifications, along with all stainless steel wetted parts. They are available in eight standard ranges, from 0-100 psi (0-7 bar) up to 0-30,000 psi (0-2200 bar), with standard proof pressures as high as 3.00 x FS, and up to 40X FS maximum burst pressure (100-300 psi; 7-25 bar range). Their small footprint facilitates their ease of installation within space constrained environments. Gems 3100 Series pressure transducers are also RoHS compliant, with a minimum IP65 ingress protection rating.

In addition, Gems 3100 Series pressure transducers are fitted with an ASIC at their time of order. With this feature, they can optionally provide either a voltage output or a 4-20 mA current output. This also allows them to be specified for industrial control and indicating loop requirements without the need for additional amplification. A broad selection of electrical and pressure connections, as well as electrical outputs, are also available “off-the-shelf” in support of a diverse array of applications. All Gems 3100 Series pressure transducers with the CE00086 mark are further compliant with Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999. They are also classified as a safety accessory and may be used as a safety-related device on Category IV pressure equipment.

As a standard catalog product, the 3100 Series is immediately available for online order. Test samples are available within a few business days. In addition, Gems routinely supports custom OEM volume designs to effectively meet stringent parameters. Custom OEM volume pressure transducers are typically available in shorter lead times than can be found with many other industry off-the-shelf solutions.
