Schaumburg, IL – Taiyo Yuden’s new BRL2515 (2.5 x 1.5mm, with a maximum height of 1.2mm) and BRFL2518 (2.5 x 1.8mm, with a maximum height of 1.0mm) wire-wound power inductors offer industry-leading DC bias characteristics in a thinner, smaller size.

Taiyo-Yuden-BRL2515_-BRFL2518-power-inductors

With a rated saturation current of 1000 mA and inductance of 2.2 µH, the BRL2515 has an impressive DC bias for a chip type coil, with a profile now 17% smaller than the existing BRL2518. The DC resistance of the BRL2515 ranges from 0.070 Ω to 0.265 Ω and the BRFL2518 offers a DCR range of 0.09 ohms to 0.33 ohms, while both featuring a low ACR. Operating temperature is specified at a range of -25ºC to 105ºC.

Each of these new space saving, low profile power inductors are designed for DC-DC converter applications in cell phones, smart phones, DSCs, portable music players and other equipment developed in response to the growing demanding for more compact and thinner mobile devices with more functionality.
