Bild Innovative Technology LLC has announced the BIT1012A driver module for the eMagin SXGA096 OLED microdisplay (PN EMA-101204-01).
Designed with both the system integrator and user in mind, this compact low-power feature-rich module is ideally suited for a variety of end-products including near-eye (AR/VR), Simulation & Training (S&T), eyepieces, embedded sights, and medical / military / scientific / research / educational applications.
Low power consumption make the BIT1012A ideal for portable battery-powered and wireless applications.
User configurable mounting features support a wide range of optomechanical configurations. Overall dimensions are 1.9” x 1.6” (including mounting tabs) and 1.5” x 1.2” (less mounting tabs).
Multiple electrical interfaces support a variety of power and control options including uUSB (integrated power + serial control) and low-profile headers (Power, control: UART, discrete). Video is applied via standard uHDMI port. Input power range is 2.5 ~ 5.5 VDC, ideal for USB and battery-powered applications.
The BIT1012A’s serial control interface provides the user with full control including brightness, H/V image flip and position, RGB color-balance, display gamma, and more. The discrete control option supports pushbutton adjustment of brightness and H/V image flip.
Automatic image quality management and gamma correction provide excellent worry-free performance covering the entire luminance span over the specified -40 to +70C operating temperature range.
For harsh environment applications, conformal coating is available. Custom configurations for specific requirements can also be accomodated.
