The RS20 is one of a series of high-performance SCARA robots, including the RS20, RS40B, RS60, and RS80, with a range of 220 mm, 400mm, 600mm, and 800 mm reach, respectively. With unrivalled speed, precision, and a small footprint for compact tabletop lean manufacturing, their payload is from 1 to 8kg.
The new device has four-degrees of freedom, a hardened AB plastic external housing, and electric servo-driven motors for reliability. All cables run internal of the arm including the electrical / pneumatic user lines. It uses the CS8C M controller which has a compact, lightweight design based on the CS8 platform.
The device is well suited for a variety of high-speed and precise applications, including dispensing, soldering, material handling, packaging, and assembly. The compact architecture makes it ideal for low-volume production, lab facilities, or companies moving to lean manufacturing cells.
