Configurable Pins Eliminate Need To Draw & Machine Custom Pins

(Schaumburg, IL)-Misumi USA, Inc. announces the introduction of many new styles of locating pins for jigs & fixtures. These locating pins are available in a broad size and style range, round or diamond shape, with or without shoulder, for set screw or nut fixing, in 4137/SCM415 steel or 304/440C stainless, with hardening or carburization surface treatments, as applicable. Plus, these new Misumi locating pins are configurable, eliminating the need for engineers to draw custom pins then have them machined in-house or sourced outside. This results in substantial time and cost savings.

Misumi locating pins are configurable in the following dimensions: diameter, body and shoulder in 0.1mm increments, plus length in 1mm increments. Pins are offered in flat position, wrench flats, tip angle, relief at thread end and shoulder top radius designs, as well, thereby providing a substantial variety to suit practically any application.

Standard production time is eight days with an express shipping option and volume discounts available. Misumi has no minimum order and no tooling/set-up charge for even a single piece order, as well as offering competitive pricing.

These new locating pin styles join the already expansive family of locating pins from Misumi. An engineer can configure Misumi locating pins using the catalog or go to www.misumiusa.com, find the part needed and configure it to suit the application then download the native CAD file in dozens of compatible formats. The configured locating pin can also be purchased online as well. No need to think custom, anymore.
