Photoelectric sensors provide a means for non-contact detection of targets at a distance regardless of targets’ material. Advantages of these sensors include longer standoff distances than inductive proximity sensors, ability to detect virtually any target material, ability to differentiate between targets of different color or surface characteristics, and the ability to operate in different sensing modes such as thru-beam, retro-reflective, or diffuse. The BKT 67M contrast sensors can detect even the slightest contrast differences in challenging packaging applications. These sensors are specifically designed for fast and reliable print mark detection.
The sensors have a rugged metal housing and a rotatable connector plus variable mounting for use under harsh ambient conditions. High switching frequencies (up to 30 kHz) allow for color mark detection on demanding applications. The sensor can also be set dynamically without having to stop processes.
