Couplings earn ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Torsiflex couplings by Ameridrives Couplings, are new available with Torsi-Lock hubs. Robust disc pack design allows for greater torque load in a smaller coupling, resulting in lower weight

An industrial coupling manufacturer recently received ISO 9001:2008 Certification for Quality Management at its facilities in Erie, Pennsylvania and San Marcos, Texas. The manufacturer, Ameridrives Couplings and TB Wood’s, say the audit was completed by Underwriter’s Laboratories.

The Certificate of Registration issued to the Erie and San Marcos facilities states that they comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in the design, manufacture and contract maintenance, and service of flexible and rigid couplings along with other related mechanical power transmission devices including universal joints. The certification also includes the distribution and repackaging of kits (including seals, gaskets, and fasteners) used on flexible and rigid couplings.

Ameridrives and TB Wood’s coupling products are used in a wide array of markets including oil and gas, renewable energy, mining, metal forming, marine, material handling, food processing, packaging, and off-highway.

“Ameridrives has always been committed to providing the highest level of quality that lets us meet or exceed customer expectations and requirements,” said Paul Konkol, Ameridrives Business Unit Manager. “This ISO 9001:2008 Certification validates our continued quality commitment to our current customers, and opens up new market opportunities as well.”
