Danaher Motion Launches SQIO SynqNet® I/O Modules

WOOD DALE, IL — Danaher Motion introduces SQIO SynqNet I/O interface boards available that allow high volume machine builders to seamlessly integrate their custom analog and/or digital I/O hardware with complex, high performance motion into a single network architecture. SQIO maximizes machine performance by providing real-time I/O and remote motion performance diagnostics via SynqNet for in-depth system level visibility, analysis, and control.

“SynqNet is a high performance motion network that brings unique benefits to the machine builder and user, and Danaher Motion’s SQIO family iexpands those benefits by bringing SynqNet connectivity to custom-designed I/O,” says Jeff Pike, Senior Product Line Manager. “OEMs who build their own custom I/O hardware will now be able to build a better machine, faster, with I/O points that can be distributed throughout the network for increased design flexibility and more robust machine operation compared to hard wired solutions. Their ability to implement custom I/O designs onto the SynqNet network will also provide previously unseen levels of motion and I/O integration and visibility, while improving machine safety, reliability, and uptime through SynqNet features such as self-healing, fault tolerance, and HotReplace, which allows the replacement of a node without having to shut down the network.”

The state of every SynqNet digital or analog I/O point can be read or modified every SynqNet sample period. Combined with the SynqNet controller’s recorder functionality, it is now possible to achieve I/O sampling rates of 2kHz to 48 kHz and the amount of data that can be recorded is only limited by the hard drive space on the host PC.

Time-based capture features improves cycle time by optimizing motion paths through on-the-fly motion changes triggered by I/O.
