Definite Purpose Contactors

By Design World Staff | March 12, 2007

February 23, 2007 – Buffalo Grove, IL – Carlo Gavazzi, a leading manufacturer of industrial automation products, introduces a new line of Definite Purpose Contactors. The CGDP Series contactors are rated to 50 amp for resistive loads and come in one pole, one pole plus shunt, two pole, and three pole configurations. Contactors are UL and CSA recognized, meet ARI 780 ratings, and are RoHS compliant. Standard features include 24, 120, 208/240, 277, 480, and 575 Vac 50/60 Hz coils. Switching of 20, 25, 30, 40 amp FLA (30, 35, 40, 50 amp resistive) loads is possible at up to 600 Vac

Connection of the contactors is achieved via multiple 0.25 in. fast-on terminals, which are standard on control and load terminals. However, standard lugs and box lugs are optional for load terminals. Optional single and dual auxiliary contacts are available for the three pole contactors. It is also possible to configure the three pole contactors as a reversing contactor, which can be mounted to a flat surface or snapped onto a DIN rail.

Carlo Gavazzi definite purpose contactors are designed for most low cost applications including heating and cooling equipment, pools, spas, commercial food ovens, compressors, and refrigeration equipment.
