After this workshop, you will be able to:
  • Identify good and bad design for manufacturability
  • Describe how to reduce cycle time while increasing product reliability
  • Recognize how to reduce product costs before they are locked in
  • Identify ways to simplify your product architecture
  • Describe how to conduct a manufacturability analysis exercise
  • Explain how to simplify the assembly process
  • Identify opportunities for improvement using DFM
  • Define the principles of mistake proofing (Poke Yoke)
  • State the 10 key steps to DFM implementation
  • Describe ways to dramatically reduce their part count

Workshop Highlight: Hands on Project
On the second day, participants will spend a significant amount of time analyzing a sample product in a hands-on exercise to reinforce one’s understanding of DFM/A principles as they apply to products and to introduce and use manual evaluation methodology.

Registration Includes:
  • Attendance and participation to the event (in-person or via live webcast)
  • Course packet materials
  • 30 days of unlimited access to the recording of the live sessions after the event
  • Continental breakfast *
