Spartan Scientific, Youngstown, Ohio, recently announced the release of its Series SSDP 15, an electro-fluidic solenoid dosing diaphragm pump.
The environmentally resistant, fully encapsulated solenoid design offers high-precision, fixed volume and finite control of fluids, making it ideal for controlling liquids in medical, analytical and scientific applications, such as in vitro diagnostics, dialysis and biotechnology. It can be used for dispensing and mixing of fluids, cleaning and sterilizing processes.
The SSDP 15 is also useful in agricultural, chemical and other non-medical applications, such as for dosing of insecticides, herbicides and other nutrients, as well as dispensing of beverages and flavors or color additives and more.
“This product is superior to other fixed-volume dispense pumps on the market because of its quicker cycle time, which supports greater volume, and its longer life span of 20 million cycles of service,” said Phil Muntean, chief engineer at Spartan Scientific.
The Series SSDP 15 features an IP65 environmentally resistant package that provides protection from dust and water within rigorous environments. The miniature pump body is made from lightweight acrylic/composite material and features a flexible-use form factor interface. It can be customized to meet the needs of a variety of applications.
