An ultrasonic generator amplifies incoming electrical voltage to a high frequency signal. That signal is passed to the converter which creates frictional heat during ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic material. Due to the fully digital design internal process paramters are precisely controlled. External voltage fluctuations and temperature changes do not affect output, resulting in a very stable welding process. Additionally, larger parts can be welded with the highest available capacity of up to 6,000 Watts. Higher amplitude output can also result in faster cycle times.
Internal signal generating adjustments are accomplished with software instead of mechanical changes. Complex algorithms simplify tasks that would normally take several steps. A multilingual user interface gives better access to weld process paramter output, and long term data storage. Larger amounts of output data are possible. Frequency and amplitude graphs can accompany the traditional power and joining velocity curve displays to help in evaluating the integrity of the weld process.
The compact size of the generator housing is especially beneficial for automation integrators, as every cubic centimeter counts in electrical control cabinets. The housing design also promotes better efficiency in controling heat build up. An integrated heat sink interface enables high performance cooling even with air conditioning.
