The HydraForce SVCL and SPCL Series valves give integral piloting or load-signaling in a solenoid-operated on/off or proportional cartridge valve for an effcient, compact, and cost-effective method for directional control and load-holding applications.
A directional bridge circuit configuration using the SPCLxx-32 style valve omits the check valve in the integral sensing line. The load pressure then functions as a piloting signal. The SPCLxx-32 provides proportional control of the inlet flow to the motor. For the motor to operate, the pilot line of the SPCL supplies a pressure signal to open the counterbalance valve. This circuit configuration eliminates a return side directional element without loss of motor control. Return flow from the motor passes directly to the tank. This eliminates backpressure, reduces circuit components, improves overall efficiency, and significantly reduces cost versus a conventional directional control system.
In this example, the higher of two pressure signals functions as a load sensing pressure for the variable displacement pump, or for a pump unloading compensator when used with a fixed displacement pump because of the addition of the CV04 check valves.
