AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) has appointed Dylan Nestor as its new Manufacturing Manager for Strip. Nestor joins the team this month and will be based at AMETEK SMP in Wallingford, Conn. He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s Primary, Finishing, Shipping, and Receiving departments.

Nestor comes to AMETEK SMP Wallingford with solid experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, and operations leadership. In his previous role, he was responsible for the operations and maintenance of multiple departments, including Rolling, Annealing, and Leveling. Nestor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

“I’m excited to join a company as focused on safety and successful in the marketplace as AMETEK SMP Wallingford,” Nestor said of his new role. “I look forward to being a stabilizing force in the plant with an interest in continuously improving the business. My priorities include a strong customer focus while also leveraging my experience to prepare our site for continued growth.”

Plant Manager Shane Tanaka is delighted to welcome Dylan to the team.

“We are very pleased that Dylan has joined us and are sure that he will be a tremendous asset to the team and the wider AMETEK SMP family,” Tanaka said. “We are proud of our high-quality specialty metal products and look forward to seeing our operations thrive under Dylan’s expert management.”
