Eagle Stainless Tube & Fabrication celebrates 40th anniversary

By Paul Heney | March 21, 2022

Share

For 40 years, Eagle Stainless Tube & Fabrication has been supplying stainless steel tubing and other metals to the medical, aerospace and industrial industries. In 1982, Robert Bubencik Sr. and Roy Elliot pulled together a handful of employees to launch a small machine shop in Franklin, Mass.  Despite its size and infancy, the founders were committed to building a world-class product manufacturing firm. This remains the philosophy today.

Starting out in a modest rented space, the product quality and customer loyalty produced the success that led to the construction of the current facility in 1987. This facility grew by 40,000 sq-ft in 1991, which vastly expanded their capacity in fabrication capabilities, including cutting, bending and machining.  Eagle bought a second 40,000 sq-ft manufacturing facility in 2013, expanding the capacity for warehousing and distribution.

Eagle went from a handful of employees in 1982 to almost 100 today. The leaders instilled a culture of quality in every department that permeates well outside the QA organization. All of the employees feel a sense of ownership when it comes to product quality, from order entry to raw material, purchasing through fabrication and QA to final test and shipping.

The medical, aerospace, and high-tech industries have been the mainstay of Eagle’s business. These industries demand high quality and precision with no room for error. ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management certifications have been in place since 1998. ISO organizes processes, improves the efficiency of processes, and helps Eagle to continually improve. Eagle’s commitment to exceed customers’ expectations with products and services hasn’t changed in 40 years. Precision and consistency only come with commitment.
