EAO Series 04 Performs in Extreme Environments

By Frank Tobe | May 1, 2014

EAO Corporation, partner for human-machine interfaces, announces an important improvement to the operating temperature of the Series 04 industrial switch range. All Series 04 actuators and elements are UL-certified and improved to operate within -40°C to +55°C (previously -25°C to +55°C). This upgrade extends the Series 04 performance and reliability into even more challenging and application environments.

Combined with sealing to IP65, this enhancement has application and safety benefits for other types of equipment such as freezers, cold storage, refrigeration and more. The Series 04 range includes pushbuttons, indicators, selectors, mushroom-headed switches, key switches and emergency-stop buttons. All components are modular which allows for easy assembly and customization to meet end-user requirements. Additional options include self-cleaning, snap-action and slow-make switching elements, as well as a wide range of contact configurations and contact materials to accommodate most application requirements.

Series 04 components feature front protection to IP65 and are rated up to 500VAC. This internationally recognized switch series fits into 22.5mm mounting holes for standard raised mounting applications or 30.5mm round and square cut-outs for flush mounting. All products comply with international standards, including UL, CE, RoHS, CB – EN/IEC 60947-5-1, NFF 16-102, CSA, CCC, GOST and German Lloyd. UL approval is for copper wire, size 26-16.
