EAO Series 95 Color-changing Pushbuttons

By Design World Staff | December 22, 2008

EAO manufacturers a range of high-quality Series 95 color-changing pushbuttons in three (3) different sizes.

The medium-sized 15.88mm2 pushbutton complements the other sizes, 12.7mm2 and 19.05mm2, offering designers even more choice for creating superb control panels that are functional and intuitive to use. In particular, EAO recommends these switches for audio, video, mixing-desk and lighting-console applications.

Series 95 offers you the choice to add up to three LED‚’s on the 15.88mm and 19.05mm or up to two on the 12.7mm version. Independent LED‚’s offer the ability to show different stages of illumination and operating status of equipment provided by PCB circuitry. The full-face illumination provides excellent visibility, even when viewed from the side, allowing users to view the status of each function at a glance.

For marking purposes, the diffuser can be either printed or engraved, or a film insert can be fitted between the diffuser and the lens. Choices of concave and flat lenses are offered as standard.

Series 95‚’s feature one N/O self-cleaning gold-plated switch element rated at a minimum 1m VDC/100 ‚µA and maximum 48VDC/50 mA. Their overall height is 24mm maximum. They are suitable for mounting on PCB’s between 1.5 to 2.5mm thick and can be snap-mounted to the PCB for easy flow-soldering thus requiring no positioning tool.

EAO‚’s family of high-quality and reliable Series 95 switches are readily available with pricing starting at slightly under $6.00 per unit in small quantities.
