Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, has earned a 2018 “Top Workplaces” honor for a mid-size company in the greater Philadelphia region for the 9th year in a row.
Almost 37,000 employees from 189 companies from the Philadelphia area were invited to participate in an anonymous survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics. Participants were asked to rank their employers in several different areas: Alignment, Effectiveness, Connection, My Manager, Employee Engagement, Leader, and The Basics.
Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics, believes that the survey not only shows the organizational health of a company, but also what is most important to their employees. Research continues to prove that meaningful work, employee appreciation, and company direction are equally as important as, if not more than, salary and benefits. “Becoming a Top Workplace is an achievement that organizations have to work for,” Claffey said.
“Providing our employees with an environment where they can thrive and succeed is our number one goal,” said Marisa Edmund, Chief Marketing Officer. “It has been our long-standing work ethic to show all of our employees the respect and appreciation they deserve.”
Top Workplaces are about a better way of doing business. Extensive research has shown that organizations that rank in this survey are providing their employees with a great place to work in an environment where they can be more innovative, and in a company that operates more ethically and serves their customers better. Edmund Optics is proud to be included in this group of exceptional organizations. Complete details can be found atwww.philly.com/philly/business
