Electromechanical (EMC) Cylinders give users custom control over positioning accuracy, axial thrust power, torque, and speed – providing more flexibility to applications that traditionally use hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. The EMCs contain a precision-rolled ball screw actuator that ensures high positioning accuracy and repeatability, and eliminates the stick-slip effect.
They come in in six sizes – from 32 to 100 – with stroke lengths to 2,000 mm and speed capabilities to 1.6 m/s. Each unit is rated to an IP65 degree of protection. ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinder standard-compliant connections make integration into traditional pneumatic applications easy. Options include direct and parallel motor mounting; as well as rod end, flange, trunnion, and clevis mounting. Step and servo motors with various performance profiles are also available.
