The CPX-FEC integrates the Festo front-end controller (PLC) into the modular CPX electrical terminal. It supports Ethernet, with a 10 to 100 Mbps data transfer rate over unlimited distances, as well as E-mail, OPC, and web server functions for remote diagnostics and visualization. The controller has a 512-in/512-out modular design with analog and digital I/O and 250 Kb program memory at 10 bytes per instruction.
