Ergonomic Illuminated Selector Switch from EAO

By Patrick Curran | November 26, 2013

EAO Corporation introduces the new ergonomically designed Series 04 Illuminated Selector Switch.

With an improved design to meet an IP67 level of environmental protection, these switches also feature optional bright LED illumination and an ergonomic actuator designed to DIN5566-1 standards. The product is also suitable for a wide range of applications, including rail vehicle driver desks to machinery operating in harsh environments.

Industry standard sizes and modular construction make these selectors ideal for easy design-in or retro-fit projects. Units are available in standard 22.5mm panel mount or 30.5mm flush style configurations in either round or square versions. In addition, there is also a choice of two or three position actuators, with an option of combining momentary and maintained functionality on the same unit.

In non-illuminated configurations, the translucent window appears as an attractive white stripe on the switch actuator. However, when illuminated, these selectors can be fitted with a variety of bright, single color LEDs offered in white, red, green, yellow or blue. Bi-color illumination is also possible with red/green, red/yellow and green/yellow LED combinations.

The selector switch is equipped with a high-reliability switching element that has been tested to achieve at least 1.25 million operations at each position. A variety of available contact configurations include silver, gold over silver and Palladium materials with a choice of screw, plug-in, or push-in terminals.
Series 04 is a fully comprehensive product line available from EAO that includes pushbuttons, indicators, key locks, selector switches and emergency-stops. EAO products offer equipment designers the means to develop innovative, reliable and intuitive controls panels for their industry or application.
All products comply with international standards including CE, RoHS, CB – EN/IEC 60947-5-1, UL, SEV, NFF 16-102, CSA, CCC, GOST, and German Lloyd.
