Ericsson will announce IPTV middleware for the U.S. market this week, company officials said. The system will comply with Open IPTV Forum specification and will be integrated with existing IMS platforms.

Ericsson also said it will support video products from Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems, along with smaller companies Accedo Broadband, Agama Technologies, Amino, SecureMedia, Tilgin, Verimatrix, and ZyXEL.
Availability, price, nor any trial customers were announced.
