Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced the release of the Exlar Add-On Instruction set (AOI) and the updated Expert Software to support it.
Add-On Instructions encapsulate commonly used functions and simplify the setup of external devices within the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture control platform, reducing errors and development time when configuring a device over the EtherNet/IP network.
The Tritex II from Exlar is a fully integrated drive / motor / actuator capable of communicating over EtherNet/IP when an EIP option card is installed. As an Americas partner product in the Rockwell Automation Encompass™ Program, the Tritex II with EIP option card integrates seamlessly into the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture™. The AOI works with both Tritex II AC and DC powered, rotary, or linear models that include the EIP option card and supports the following functions:
- User units
- Control drive
- Drive status
- Jog Operation
- Move operation
- Host mode
