Pacamor Kubar Bearings (PKB) has gained additional quality certifications which support production capabilities to include a full range of miniature and instrument ball bearing assemblies specific to Federal Aviation Administration Technical Standard Order TSO-C149.
Ed M. Osta, PKB’s Executive Vice President stated, “Customer service has been further elevated by yet another FAA quality certification. We are pleased that our Quality Manager, Chris Lake, has been granted a Certificate of Designation from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR).”
With the DMIR designation, PKB’s Chris Lake is approved to perform various functions on behalf of the FAA such as the issuance of Original Airworthiness Certificates (Form 8130-3) and Export Airworthiness Certificates for PKB TSO-C149 Aircraft Bearings. Lake may also conduct any inspections necessary to determine that prototype or production parts conform to design specifications and are in a condition for safe operation.
The company also announced its continued on-time delivery of 99.4% for all FAA TSO-C149 Aircraft Bearings. Stephen Angrisano, PKB’s Chief Financial Officer added, “PKB’s on-time delivery record of quality aerospace instrument bearings puts us in a unique position in the industry.” PKB, an award winning domestic manufacturer for Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), manufactures a full range of appropriately DFARS compliant miniature and instrument ball bearings at its ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100:2004 certified factory in Troy, NY.
