Connect One announces its SecureGAP firewall-on-a-chip system that allows M2M devices to be safely connected directly to the public Internet. It safeguards proprietary information for application owners through security and data segregation which serves as a gatekeeper and natural firewall between the host processor and the Internet, as well as cutting connectivity costs and simplifying deployment. As a firewall between the host processor and the Internet, the system prevents intruders from tapping directly into the host processor’s data. This technology has been introduced in the model CO2128 IP controller that provides Internet connectivity, encryption and optimal security for a host processor or device. This controller works as a co-processor, off-loading all security and communication aspects from the main processor.
