Flex Locators combine fastening and precision-locating in one operation

Imao-Fixtureworks now offers a complete lineup of Flex Locators that fasten and locate in a single operation for quick change applications — without the use of tools.

Flex locators are locating elements for changing various attachments and both small and large fixtures. The tapered pins and receiver bushings allow easy operation and excellent repeatability. Learn more here.

Flex Locators provide fast and accurate fixture changes, mounting the same fixture on different machines, machining from five sides on one fixture, and quick fixture setup. The locator system consists of tapered pins and receiving bushings.

In combination, these parts are designed to be mounted on fixture bases and plates to allow for highly accurate locating and positioning with repeatability of 0.01 mm.

Fastener-receptacle pairs replace nut-and-bolt assembly so that operators swap out fixture plates and other automation components without the use of tools and with excellent repeatability. The Flex Locator products are ideal for applications where there is frequent disassembly or changeover, including pallet or fixture plates for machining.

Handle, knob, and cam handle styles allow for quick one-touch handle operation for precision-locating and fastening. Hex-style, ball-lock locators provide up to 1011 lbs. of clamping force in addition to precision-locating.

Fixtureworks also offers basic solutions for locating, including easy-to-use Blind-style and Through-style locators. For automated control, Air Flex locators are available. These air-assisted locators allow for remote-control activation and simultaneous release of multiple locators.

In addition, Fixtureworks offers a wide range of work locators, positioning pins, ball locking pins, One Touch Fasteners, and more. Customers can also request a quote or technical product assistance.

Imao is known for its innovative One-touch clamps, One-touch Fasteners, and Flex Locators, all of which are operated with no tools for quick changeover. The company also offers a complete lineup of work-holding grippers, fixture clamps, material-handling rollers and bumpers, quick-release pins, adjustable handles, and a variety of machine components.
