A flexible storage system lets parts managers create storage spaces appropriate for different parts. Equipto says traditional storage shelves offer more space than modular drawer cabinets, but a tremendous amount of storage space can be wasted.
The company’s V-Grip storage system, which starts as shelving, lets parts managers create denser storage. Shelves, drawers, and other accessories, including locking doors, can be interchanged in a modular shelf cavity, the company says. Because each space is mounted to posts with a bracket system, they are adjustable and can be added without disassembling the unit, the company says.
Shelves from 400 lbs. to over 1,000 lb. capacity can be added and adjusted at 1½ in. increments. Drawers 3 to 13.5 in. heights can be installed, along with in-drawer divider sets or shelf dividers.
With adequate ceiling clearance, managers may increase storage capacity with a freestanding or shelf supported mezzanine. No attachment to existing structures is necessary other than floor anchors, the company says.
