Changes to both hydraulics and electronics technologies give you a wider range of choice when specifying components for either repair or retrofit. For example, legacy hydraulic flight simulators can be infused with new life through the use of magnetostrictive linear position transducers like the Micropulse®.
These transducers are specifically designed for use with legacy flight simulator systems. Based on modern electronics platforms, these rod-style linear position transducers give old hydraulic flight simulators new life with state-of-the-art performance and high reliability. Plus, they are available in a variety of styles and sizes.
The linear transducers are designed for drop-in installation and full compatibility with the existing control system, right down to the matching host controller connector plug. Auto-tuning circuitry allows operation with the most commonly installed legacy cylinder magnets.
Other features include:
-Three hydraulic probe designs for motion cylinder and control loading cylinder applications.
-Two electrical interface schemes to choose from to match the previous generation of transducer electrical signals.
-Analog/PWM interface modules with menu-driven, microprocessor-based pushbutton setup routine is supported by a lighted LCD digital display.
