The Fastener Training Institute (FTI) and the Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI) will continue their partnership, presenting the Fastener Training Week in Cleveland, May 3-6, 2021.
This is a week-long training program specifically designed for fastener manufacturers and distributors on manufacturing processes, consensus standards, quality control and much more. The educational course offers learning labs, interactive exercises, and quizzes to reinforce knowledge taught by leading industry experts in the field.
Fastener Training Week will feature learning labs, interactive exercises, and quizzes to reinforce learning taught by leading industry experts, including Salim Brahimi (IFI Director of Engineering Technology), Laurence Claus (NNi Training and Consulting), and John Medcalf (Principal Engineer, Peak Innovations Engineering).
This program is an intensive version of the acclaimed FTI Certified Fastener Specialist advanced technical training program. Instead of seven separate one-day classes, the Training Week will consist of five intensive days of education and plant tours.
The curriculum will cover:
- Thread specifications
- Material specifications
- Process specifications
- Dimensional specifications
- Quality systems and specifications
- Lot traceability
- Test reports
- Print reading and tolerances
- Thread gaging and dimensional inspection
- Torque tension
NOTE: each participating company is required to bring a copy of either the 8th, 9th, or 10th edition of the IFI Inch Fastener Standards book.
Classroom instruction will be conducted at the Solution Industries (21555 Drake Rd in Strongsville, OH).
