Fuse Disconnect and Fuse Holder Terminal Blocks

By Patrick Curran | September 2, 2009

GERMANTOWN, WI
— Highlighting WAGO Corporation’s new 2002 Series TOPJOB®S Fuse Terminal blocks are two exclusive blocks: a four-conductor, mini-automotive fuse holder block; and a four-conductor fuse disconnect block with a spare 5x20mm fuse holder. Utilizing the common TOPJOB®S profile, Fuse Terminal blocks streamline assemblies, facilitating WAGO-exclusive vinyl ID marking strips. WAGO’s TOPJOB®S line now offers a common profile for feed-through, disconnect/testing and fusing of analog signals.

Ideal for applications from machinery to boats, the Fuse Terminal blocks offer two test plug locations on each side of the fuse, and time-saving accessories including: push-in, staggered and step-down jumpers; component and test plugs; and modular connectors. The Fuse Disconnect and Fuse Plug Carrier blocks offer an optional PCB with an SMT-LED that indicates blown fuses and is connected via on-board spiral springs – no soldered blown fuse indicator.

Fuse Disconnect Blocks Feature Pivoting Fuse Holder

The pivoting 5x20mm fuse holder ensures correct fuse insertion/removal and additional fuse storage. Opening the holder’s cover ejects the expired fuse. Next, insert new fuse into holder’s clips and close, “snapping” fuse into the correct position. “Touch-proof” in all positions, the 2- and 4-conductor blocks offer an end plate that eliminates opening the fuse-holder when closed.

Fuse Plug Carrier Blocks Provide Exceptional Safety
2- and 4-conductor variants, Fuse Plug Carrier Blocks prevent touching live components while changing fuses. To avoid unintentional restarts, personnel may retain fuse plugs. The high-density Fuse Plug Carriers with 5x20mm fuses are just 6.1mm wide.

Versatile Mini-Automotive, Blade-Style Fuse Terminal Blocks
Available in 2- and 4-conductor variants from 22—12AWG, blade-style fuse blocks are compatible with mini-automotive fuses per DIN 72581-3f, for compact circuit protection.

TOPJOB®S Terminal blocks employ push-in terminations for ferruled or solid conductors and screwdriver actuation for stranded conductors. CAGE CLAMP®S Spring Pressure Connections are vibration-proof, maintenance-free and temperature cycling-resistant.
