G-Light is a brake and turn light for bikes and electric skateboards that automatically switches off as soon as you’ve made your turn—similar to what a car does, according to New Atlas.
As you apply your bike brake, an ultra-bright brake light turns on, and as you stop applying the brakes, the lights go back to normal. The integrated three-axis accelerometer detects the drop in speed and responds by brightening all seven LEDs.
If you get the remote with your G-Light, you can use the magnetic, handlebar remote to wirelessly activate the G-Light’s left or right-hand turn indicators. In other bike systems, the indicators go off after a certain time, or they have to be switched manually. In the G-Light, a compass detects when the bike enters and exits a 90-degree turn, which automatically turns the indicator off when the turn is over.
With over 100 preset flashing, pulsing and different colored LEDs, the waterproof G-Light can light up the bike path no matter the weather. Additionally, G-Light incorporates 90-degree turn technology for electric skateboards with a baseplate clip. If the G-Light’s sensitivity has changed, and it doesn’t seem to be registering your turns, it may be out of level. With an easy leveling tool, you can readjust the G-Light within 10 seconds.
The battery life for G-Light lasts approximately 40 hours per USB-charge from its 1,000-mAh lithium-polymer battery.
