Another reason for your dentist to pester you
If you get a lot of needling from your dentist about not flossing, the Kolibree toothbrush could take these comments to a new level. The device, held here by Kolibree CEO Tom Serval, contains an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer in its base which are used to gauge the position of the brush in your mouth. A processor uses probability calculations to estimate how long you’ve spent on a given part of your mouth and whether you’ve missed any spots. This data gets uploaded via Bluetooth to a monitoring program which quantifies your brushing sessions for later review by you or by your annoying dentist.
