Speed lips save gas
Röchling Automotive’s Active Speed Lips are controlled electronically through dc brushless motor-style compact actuators. A speed lip sits in front of each front tire and extends down once the vehicle hits about 43 mph, as a way of reducing turbulent air flow around the tires. The optimized air flow leads to better fuel consumption, less drag, extended EV battery range, and improved overall aerodynamics.
