If it flaps like a duck…………..
Here are two different views of a mechanism put together as a design study by engineers at Optimal Design in Illinois. The mechanism uses ball-joint-like devices to oscillate the two appendages in a way that mimics the subtle motion of flapping duck wings. The project was meant to demonstrate the firm’s capabilities in motion control and mechanism design.
