GIGAVAC (Santa Barbara, CA) has announced two additions to their High Voltage Contactor line of Advanced Switching Solutions.  The HX21 and HX200 join the HX22 as the smallest UL508 recognized contactors for high current switching at 1,000 VDC.  Designed and manufactured in the USA by GIGAVAC, the HX series features the Patented EPIC Seal. This provides complete protection beyond what is offered by traditional hermetic seals. The HX21 and HX200 are UL rated for switching 175 A at 1,000 VDC and a continuous duty up to 300 A. Features include:

  • Useable under water & at temperatures from –55° to 85°C.
  • HX contactors that are not position sensitive.
  • High efficiency coils offered in 12, 24, or 48 VDC versions.
