Global Capacity announced that FiberLight, LLC, one of the nation’s leading providers of mission critical, high performance fiber optic networks, has selected One Marketplace Access Exchange as its automated pricing tool for off-net solutions. One Marketplace Access Exchange automates the process of generating competitive rates from a global marketplace of suppliers, including FiberLight’s own negotiated supplier agreements. By eliminating the manual process of generating quotes, One Marketplace Access Exchange provides FiberLight with fast, accurate, automated pricing, improving responsiveness to customers and reducing back-office costs.
As a member of the One Marketplace Access Exchange, FiberLight’s on-net solutions will now be available to other One Marketplace users who currently generate in excess of 100,000 automated quotes per month for access solutions. This creates new revenue opportunities for FiberLight to sell high margin, on-net services. Also as part of the deal, FiberLight will provide Global Capacity with 400 miles of fiber, creating additional on-net connectivity capabilities and solutions for the One Marketplace Access Exchange.
“We are excited by this opportunity as it provides Global Capacity with fiber assets that we can leverage to ensure ubiquitous access via the One Marketplace Access Exchange,” states Greg Hough, Chief Technology Officer of Global Capacity. “This deal enables Global Capacity to cost effectively extend the reach of the One Marketplace Access Exchange, providing custom solutions that aggregate multiple providers on-net to One Marketplace.”
“Global Capacity’s One Marketplace Access Exchange allows us to migrate from an inefficient manual pricing process that was dependent on our own information and supplier relationships to now utilizing an automated process that leverages access to an entire marketplace of knowledge about network location and pricing,” continues Ben Edmond, President of Sales & Marketing for FiberLight. “This solution saves us time and money while ensuring we receive accurate pricing on a variety of viable network solutions for our customers, which improves our revenue stream by winning additional business.”
This is a pivotal announcement for both companies. FiberLight now has the ability to quickly respond to its customers and provide off-net solutions giving it greater reach; Global Capacity gains additional network assets on FiberLight’s fiber infrastructure, further differentiating the company’s ability to provide custom, accessible solutions via its One Marketplace Access Exchange.
