GrabCAD now has more than 2.5 million registered users and more than 1 million free CAD files, the company announced in a recent press statement.
Founded in 2010, the Stratasys subsidiary boasts a community of mechanical engineers, designers, and other individuals who use the service to share any sort of major CAD file type or industry. In addition to using the service to access traditional CAD files, users also frequent the library to explore its over 40,000 3D printable engineering files, a collection that is one of the largest of its kind.
In concurrence with the announcement of its newly met achievement, GrabCAD also unveiled changes to its library. The company said the library will make it easier for users to find their favorite Community areas, browse the latest and most popular content, and search with more tools. Engineers will also be able to better to communicate with their peers by “liking” favorite designs and tracking discussions that pique their interests. Design portfolios will better appease to the eyes due to a roundabout-type navigation and enlarged 3D viewing.
