SALT LAKE CITY, UT – QSI Corporation introduces the new family of handheld graphic HMI terminals. The product line includes three rugged terminals with different levels of functionality and cost; the low-cost handheld or panel-mount QTERM-G55 with a grayscale display; the new tethered handheld QTERM-G56 featuring touch screen capabilities and the full-featured battery-powered QTERM-G58 with optional WiFi.
Available in 2010, Windows® Embedded CE 6.0 will be offered on both the QTERM-G58 and the new QTERM-G56. QSI customers will be able to use Microsoft® Visual Studio® and related technologies like Win32, MFC, Visual C#® and Visual Basic® for application development. QSI’s proprietary language, Qlarity®, will still be available but not required to make an application for the terminal.
Both the QTERM-G58 and QTERM-G56 have been upgraded to include a touch screen as a standard feature. The touch screen allows more flexibility for both the developer and user. The graphic display has also been upgraded to improve terminal operation in direct sunlight.
