Harting Automotive has won the Volkswagen Group Award 2020 in the “E-Mobility” category. The award by Volkswagen Group recognises the exceptional achievements and innovative prowess with which Harting Automotive contributes to the success of Volkswagen AG, as stated in the certificate of thanks.

The award praised the company’s proactive, rapid and targeted actions in the volatile electromobility sector, stating that Harting Automotive reacts to short-term volume fluctuations and unplanned additional needs flexibly and in partnership. The congratulatory certificate further stated that Harting Automotive’s broad spectrum of charging cables ensured the cross-brand/cross-plant supply of the Mode 3 charging cable. Volkswagen AG added that Harting Automotive was an important and reliable component of the VW supply chain.

“We’re extremely pleased with the award. My thanks go out to the entire Harting Automotive team, which has consistently kept customers in focus in these difficult times as well,” said Marco Grinblats, Managing Director Harting Automotive.

Growing demand for E-mobility solutions
Subsidiary Harting Automotive has long been at home in the supplier industry and is registering a strong increase in demand for e-mobility solutions. As a pioneer for reliable, clean and environmentally friendly e-mobility, Harting Automotive offers tailor-made solutions and components for all relevant markets, as well as developing and producing charging equipment for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

The subsidiary supplies e.g. charging solutions for Volkswagen’s modular E-drive matrix (MEB), the Audi e-tron and the Porsche Taycan. The Harting Technology Group boasts decades of experience in the field of connection and transmission technology for data, signals and power, and was among the first to recognise growing environmental awareness among the public with respect to vehicle traffic, as well as the associated challenges and opportunities.
