Representatives from HELUKABEL® USA will be in attendance at the 29th International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, IL from September 10-15, 2012 to discuss their cable solutions for the manufacturing industry. HELUKABEL® USA will be exhibiting within the Industrial Automation North America Pavilion at booth E-4256 located in the East Building of McCormick Place.
IMTS, held every two years, is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world. Over 82,000 industry professionals visit the 1,500 exhibitors who showcase the latest machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, systems and processes that can improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process in such industries as aerospace, automotive, machine shop, medical, and power generation.
HELUKABEL® USA’s booth will feature cables and wires designed specifically for delivering data and control power for stationary, flexing and torsional applications.
The latest product to join the HELUKABEL® portfolio is a new servo motor cable designed to support the HIPERFACE DSL® technology by SICK, a German encoder manufacturer. This innovative cable design combines the existing structure of power conductors and break pairs with a digital-servo-link (DSL) element. This DSL element serves as the central communication interface between the drive and the motor-feedback system. The use of DSL technology allows for enhanced transmisson of motor position data and feedback, such as operating temperature. By combining both the power and data transmission elements into one cable, HELUKABEL® and SICK are minimizing the amount of cabling used, reducing installation and maintenance time, and lowering overall costs.
In addition to the HIPERFACE DSL® cable, HELUKABEL® offers cable solutions for both domestic and international manufacturing companies.
For the domestic manufacturer, the TRAYCONTROL®-Series is the strength of the HELUKABEL® product portfolio. These flexible, shielded or unshielded, cables are best-suited for transmitting data and power to the machine’s operating components. Protected by PVC, PUR or TPE outer jackets, the TRAYCONTROL-Series has been TC-ER, PLTC-ER, and ITC-ER approved for open installation. The TRAYCONTROL-Series cables are oil resistant having passed Oil Res I and II, flame retardant according to the FT4 flame test, and compliant with NFPA 79 2007 standards.
Multi-approval cables, such as the five approval JZ-603 and JZ-603-CY Control Cables, are important for exporting and international manufactures because it allows them to reduce purchasing costs by ordering only one cable for the production of machinery, control systems, assembly lines, and other industrial equipment used in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China and Russia to name a few.
