SIMI VALLEY, CA — Providing manufacturers of handheld and multimedia devices with an extensive range of board-to-board connectors to suit any application, Hirose Electric Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Stock Exchange 1st sec: Index #6806) offers an extensive line of flexible circuit connectors.
Designated the FH Family, the connectors come in many different configurations with contact pitches ranging from 1mm to 0.3mm, and are designed specifically for FPC (flexible printed circuit) and FFC (flat flex cable) type connections. Hirose has incorporated innovative solutions for improving ease of assembly and greater performance. Certain models feature “side-retention” tabs, which increases FPC/FFC holding force and assures proper alignment within the connector.
“Our FH Series flexible circuit connectors are used extensively in board-to-board connections, and because of the wide variety of styles, configurations, contact positions and sizes available, we are able to meet virtually any customers’ application-specific needs, whether the end product is a notebook computer, printer, PDA, digital camera, medical or industrial device, or connecting an LCD to a printed circuit board,” said Tats Arai, president of Hirose Electric USA.
