Beijer Electronics announces the rugged 7″ QTERM-A7 and 12″ QTERM-A12 human machine interface terminals are now classified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for marine applications. ABS promotes safety standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of marine equipment.
Known for being built for demanding environments, the QTERM-A7 and QTERM-A12 are also Class I Div 2 certified for hazardous conditions. With the recent ABS classification, the QTERM terminals now meet requirements needed in the marine industry.
Features include a widescreen 7″ or large 12″ TFT-LCD display, resistive touch screen, Ethernet 10/100Base-T interface with two USB 2.0 full-speed host ports and two serial ports to connect to nearly any device. Both the QTERM-A7 and QTERM-A12 are UL 508 certified and can operate in temperatures ranging from -30 to 70 °C (-22 to 158 °F).
The QTERM-A7 and QTERM-A12 offer a choice of either Windows® Embedded CE 6.0 or iX software. iX includes multiple drivers to communicate with automation equipment, scalable vector-based graphics, open architecture and a variety of HMI functions (i.e., alarms, trends, recipes).
