MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Honeywell International Inc. on Thursday named Tim Mahoney president and CEO of its aerospace business effective immediately.
Mahoney replaces Rob Gillette, who is leaving Honeywell to become CEO of First Solar Inc., based in Tempe, Ariz.
Mahoney, who will be responsible for running Honeywell’s $11 billion aerospace business, was most recently chief technology officer for Honeywell Aerospace. In that post, he was responsible for new product development and research on key projects with customers like Airbus, Boeing Co. and Gulfstream.
Bob Smith, vice president of advanced technologies, will replace Mahoney as chief technology officer at Honeywell Aerospace.
Separately, the company named Kevin Moriarty vice president and CFO for the aerospace division. He replaces Bob Hau, who is leaving to be the chief financial officer at Lennox International.
Moriarty will be replaced by Paul Vasington, formerly vice president and CFO for Honeywell Security and Data Collection.
Shares of Morristown, N.J.-based Honeywelll added 13 cents to $35.90 in midday trading.
