HTI Technology, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired Klauber Machine & Gear, Co. on June 1, 2016. This acquisition will combine HTI Technology’s expertise in AC and DC motor and drives systems with Klauber’s technology and market leadership in AC and DC gear motors.

The companies’ complementary technology and market capabilities will enable motors, drives and gearmotors to be combined into application-engineered powered motion solution packages, giving our customers better performing and better value solutions for their power applications.

“With this Klauber acquisition, we are able to bring world class gearing design and production capabilities into the HTI solutions family,” said John Paul, CEO of HTI Technology. “By combining Klauber’s very strong fractional horsepower gear motor products with American Control Electronics’ drives and controls technology (acquired in September 2015) and HTI’s AC, DC and Brushless DC motors and mechanisms offerings, we will be able to work with our global customers to understand their powered motion needs and to offer complete application engineered solutions to meet those needs. We can now provide our customers’ required power with HTI motors, reduce the speed and increase the torque of these motors with Klauber gearing, and then dynamically vary the users’ equipment speed with ACE drives. This enables HTI to do the complete powered motion systems integration work for our customers’ engineers, freeing them to focus on their overall equipment design.”

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to join Klauber’s outstanding team and product capabilities with the HTI team,” said Frank Parker, President of Klauber. “Both of these businesses have strong product offerings, high quality manufacturing capabilities, deep knowledge of our customers’ applications, and dedicated and knowledgeable employees. As a combined business, we will be perfectly positioned to combine our strengths into innovative systems that meet our customers’ needs, with the global scale to serve even larger markets. This is a great move for our customers and our business.”

Klauber Machine & Gear will continue to operate from their current location in Pacific, Missouri, outside of St. Louis. Frank Parker, President of Klauber, will report to John Paul, CEO of HTI. Frank will also become a board member and shareholder of HTI and will help to formulate and guide our strategy as a combined entity.
