Temecula, CA – Over the next several months, Opto 22 will be offering free education and training to automation professionals, via a series of free one-hour Web seminars focused on wireless networking and other hot topics in the automation industry.
As part of its commitment towards educating engineers and others in the automation industry, Opto 22 is supplementing its popular free on-site training classes and online tutorials with a series of “OptoWebinars” focused on various aspects of industrial automation. The first seminar in this series will feature Opto 22 Director of Training Alexi Beck Gray, M.S.M.E., offering perspectives on how, when, and where industrial wireless solutions are best deployed. The seminar will also address the issues of network security and reliability, and many of the other common concerns about using wireless solutions. Finally, Beck Gray will configure and demonstrate wireless PACs and I/O acquiring data and performing analog and digital control functions, followed by a question and answer session.
Future OptoWebinars will extend into 2010 and will feature a number of guest speakers and industry experts. Scheduled topics include control system redundancy, energy management, and strategies for effectively expanding Allen-Bradley®-based control system architectures.
The OptoWebinar “Go Wired or Wireless?”, the first in Opto 22’s series, begins Thursday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. To register, call 800-321-6786 (toll-free in the U.S.) or visit http://www.opto22.com/lp/optowebinars.aspx.
