Organizers of Interplas 2014, Rapid Plastics Media Ltd, a division of Rapid News Communications Group, are delighted with progress on the event to date and are predicting a sell out event next year.
Time is running out for exhibitors who are yet to secure a place at Interplas 2014, the UK’s largest plastics industry exhibition and only event to cover all of the manufacturing processes, technologies and services within the plastics industry. Stand sales are up 62% against this point in the previous cycle and the organisers have already sold more than 83% of the total floor space for Interplas 2011 and are well on track to sell out the 2014 floorplan which was expanded by over 30%. This increase will see over 400 exhibitors take their place in the hall at the triennial event, which will run from September 30th to October 2nd 2014 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Alongside this growth in stand sales and exhibitors the organisers are also predicting a steady increase in visitors with the total number attending likely to exceed 12,000. These visitors will be able to see the very best from the plastics industry, with the biggest companies in the sector confirmed to take their place on the show floor including Engel, Sumitomo Demag, Summit Systems, Romi Sandretto, Ferromatik and Milacron Extrusion from the machinery and equipment sector. Alongside will be a wide representation from the materials sector including Gabriel-Chemie, Distrupol, Plastribution, Resin Trade, Ultrapolymers and Albis amongst others. A full list of confirmed exhibitors for Interplas 2014 can be found at www.interplasuk.com
Industry organisations are also throwing their support behind the event, with the British Plastics Federation (BPF), the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA), the GTMA, the MaterialsKTN all confirmed to participate along with leading industry magazine British Plastics and Rubber.
With floor space being booked up at such an incredible rate, and with so many major market players confirmed to attend, Interplas 2014 is already the industry event everybody is talking about and organisers are keen to build on the success of Interplas 2011 at next year’s show and make Interplas the place to do business in the plastics industry.
Duncan Wood, COO and Event Director, commented: “We are delighted by the progress we have made since taking the event over in 2009. An extremely encouraging 2011 – which saw Interplas back in growth across the key metrics of space sold, number of exhibitors and of course visitors – is set to be exceeded spectacularly by the 2014 edition. The comparison numbers make for very healthy reading at this stage and the momentum and appetite for the show is palpable across the industry. We are welcoming back major companies every day who can see we are steering Interplas in the right direction for the industry and accordingly they wish to be part of the success. We have some fantastic plans in place for the 2014 edition and look forward to putting on a superb show with the plastics industry supporting us all the way!”
