SANTA ANA, CA — ITT Interconnect Solutions has developed receptacles for its KP Series circular connectors. The sealed KP Series connectors were initially developed for military applications, but are being increasingly deployed in a variety of industrial market applications due to their proven reliability in harsh environments. The connectors are particularly ideal in applications where quick connect/disconnect is required.
In addition to automotive test equipment, the KP Series connectors and receptacles are used extensively in camera and robotic systems, as well as engine, valve and gearbox controls.
The KP receptacles feature solder-to-board contacts and plug connectors in combination with customized end bells/adaptors. The receptacles are available with a variety of solder pin diameters and lengths, while the plug connectors are fabricated with standard or customized end bells, or metric or PG adaptors. KP receptacles’ variety of configurations allows customers to use shielded or unshielded cable with multiple variations of cable glands, cable conduits and shrink boots.
The KP receptacles are available with gold or flash gold plating in contact sizes 20, 16, and 12. Current rating is 7.5A for the size 20 contacts and 10A for the size 16 contacts. The receptacles can accommodate 2 to 61 contacts and feature a minimum of 500 mating cycles.
