JohnsonElectricJohnson Electric announced an actuator platform for automotive HVAC air flow control. The Saia-Burgess™ HVAC platform offers the industry’s widest speed and torque range in DC and Stepper motor options. These actuator platforms are designed for the main HVAC functions, such as Air Inlet, Airflow distribution and Airflow mix. The Saia-Burgess HVAC actuators meet the demanding requirements of the different airflow diverter functions. Reliability results from proven technologies being deployed, extensive testing and many years field experience of over 500 million actuators shipped.

The Saia-Burgess HVAC airflow diverter platform operates with the lowest noise in a wide range of torque and speed. The actuators are custom designed for different control options such as, direct or BUS driven for LIN standard. BUS driven designs with integrated electronics allow torque & speed control, stall detection and provide diagnostic information.

“Saia-Burgess HVAC actuators support the industry’s broadest technology and performance requirements” said Jim Dick, Johnson Electric’s senior vice president of Strategic Marketing. “Johnson Electric is the Technology Leader and Safe Choice in this application,” he added.
