Moorpark, CA — Kavlico has recently added the P528 OEM Refrigeration Pressure Sensor with a ¼ SAE Female Flare, Schrader Deflator with 7/16-20 UNF internal threads to their P528 family of sensors. This sensor which incorporates Kavlico’s 4th generation ceramic capacitive sensing technology has been specifically engineered for high volume OEM refrigeration applications.

Packaged in a brass or plated steel housing, the sensor can endure the high vibration, broad temperature ranges, and high humidity conditions found in refrigeration systems while withstanding high over-pressures and pressure pulsations without damage or degradation. Pressure ranges available are from 0-100 through 0-750 PSI absolute and sealed gage.

Typical refrigeration applications include:

• High and Low Side Pressure Measurements in Refrigeration Systems

• Product Refrigeration

• Transport Refrigeration

• Refrigerant Recovery

• Environmental Test Equipment

The P528 is offered with seal materials that are compatible with many of the latest refrigerants such as R134a, R22, R123, R12, R410A as well as a host of the proprietary blends and associated lubricants.

The compact and lightweight sensor (<1.75” long and 50 grams max.) features an external hex for quick and easy installation. It operates on 5 Vdc and provides a linear amplified analog output of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc proportional to pressure. The low power consumption device has superior long-term stability and is temperature compensated over the entire operating range. The operating temperature range is -30 to +135ºC. The sensor is RoHS compliant and carries CE Mark certification.
