MUSKEGON, MI ‚â€¦ KAYDON‚Â® Corporation Bearings Division has released a greatly expanded edition of its slewing ring / turntable bearings catalog, with over 100 more pages of new bearing sizes and more helpful specifying information than ever before. The new catalog makes it easier for engineers to choose a bearing for their application, featuring a handy selection guide as well as dimensions, cross-sectional drawings and load charts for every model.
KAYDON slewing ring / turntable bearings are widely used in wind energy, heavy equipment, general machinery, military, and medical applications, as well as other applications requiring precision and accuracy. The new catalog introduces five new series of slewing ring / turntable bearings and several new sizes in the KH precision bearing series (geared and non-geared). Several new four-point contact ball bearing series have been added, and the size range has been expanded to 240 inches (6.1m). The eight-point contact ball bearing series has been substantially expanded, and the new cross roller series and three-row roller series provide equipment designers with many more options.
The catalog also features a significantly expanded installation and maintenance section, and a new section describing Kaydon’s extensive remanufacturing capabilities, including common signs and causes of bearing failure.
